Duration: three weeks. A writer: there is not.
The narrator - Joy - Vera island name - takes a candle, a lighter and a photo with the island, and this photo is the real reason for their participation. All she says.
a case - twelve envelopes - a statement - a game.
A game. It's just a game. A case with twelve envelopes - each takes one and pulls it back to open. Eleven maps on which "victims" is - on the twelfth as "murderers". Then envelopes are thrown into a mailbox. Secrecy is paramount.
The process: The "killer" unpacked his "victims" on the left wrist and bring it to a secret location. All without violence. A harmless child's play - which is suddenly serious.
Already on the opening pages - in Veras - and Joys - first words indicated the disaster - something happened, something that even in hindsight, still covered with a goose bumps when she thinks back to her time on Isola . Secrets are hinted at - all twelve participants who seem to have - and trigger a huge stress and tension. The island itself seems to be the purest paradise - but I know that something bad will happen, I suspect - as I can sit back there and enjoy? This feeling is sending Isabel Abedi in her novel - she sent, thus maintaining the tension, even in the most mundane situations - a major achievement.
And then - then I can put down the book even more so. I'm in the middle in the game - I am waiting impatiently for the end - be it a happy ending or catastrophe, it should finally cease. I want to know everything, decipher all the secrets - and I also want that this book will never end - because I enjoy the voltage so.
Am I a "victim" or "murderer"?
